Privacy policy
What this site collects, what we do with it, and who else is involved. In plain language, because you should not need a lawyer to read it.

Who we are

What we collect
What you send us. If you use the contact form, we get what you type: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, what you are interested in, and your message. Nothing on this site asks for a Social Security number, a bank account or a card number, and you should never send those by email.
Ordinary server records. Our host keeps the usual web server logs — the address your request came from, the page asked for, the time, and your browser's description of itself. They are used to keep the site up and to block abuse.
Nothing else. This site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts, and the public pages set no cookies.
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Cookies
The public pages set none. The agent portal at /portal is for our own agents and is protected by Cloudflare Access, which sets a sign-in cookie for whoever is allowed in. That is the only cookie this site is responsible for.
The listing search
Our listing search is the NTREIS multiple listing service, shown inside our page. What you type into that search goes to NTREIS and its software provider, under their own privacy practices, not ours. If that matters to you, search from their site directly instead.
What we do with it
We use what you send to answer you and to provide brokerage services. That is all. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not send marketing email to people who only asked a question.
Other companies see it only where they run something on our behalf: Cloudflare hosts this website, and Google carries our email and the form. We also hand over information where the law, a court, or our obligations as a licensed brokerage require it.
How long we keep it
Inquiries stay in our email for as long as they are useful. If you become a client, the file is kept as long as our real estate license obliges us to keep records of a transaction.
Your say
Email info@elmforkrealty.com and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do what we reasonably can, short of records we are required to keep.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new effective date. Material changes will say what changed.
